Who is Sophia Mace?

Hi — I’m Sophia Mace, a photographer, painter, and designer guided by light, landscape, and the infinite stories surrounding me. My work moves between mediums, but the throughline is always the same: to slow down and really see the texture of a moment, the color of a feeling, the shape of something true.

I live at the meeting point of art and the outdoors. Some days, that means hauling camera gear up a ridge before sunrise to catch the first spill of gold over the valley. Other days, it means standing before a canvas with oil paints smeared on my hands, chasing the same light through color and form. Between those worlds, I design, translating emotion into typography, layout, and visual rhythm.

My art is rooted in connection; to place, to people, to purpose. Whether I’m photographing a campaign for an outdoor brand, painting in the studio, or creating a visual identity for a small business, I’m drawn to work that feels alive. I love the tension between wilderness and refinement, between something raw and something intentional.

The camera teaches me to frame what’s fleeting. The brush reminds me to linger. Design gives shape to both.

Everything I make is a conversation between the wild and the crafted — between what’s real and what’s remembered.

If you’re here, maybe you feel that pull too. Welcome. Let’s create something that breathes.
